Tackling weight gain through hypnotherapy

Posted on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 at 12:07 pm

Aside from fighting bad habits, improving ones’ personality, or for self-encouragement, hypnotherapy could also be used to tackle weight gain, a February 7 article of Business Mirror reported.

According to New York-based hypnotist Elena Mosaner, people are very conscious about gaining weight not only during holiday seasons but in the whole year. Like any other professional hypnotist, Mosaner busted the myth commonly associated with the alternative treatment. A typical hypnosis session with Mosaner could be described as a “guided meditation” where she will let the client relax then suggest the affirmations that would improve the client. Mosaner stated that it only take approximately two hypnosis sessions to solve almost any personal issues. Psychologist Sera Lavelle, on the other hand, believes that addressing personal issues through hypnosis and traditional psychotherapy could be more effective.

The professional hypnotherapists at the Orlando Hypnosis Clinic also help individuals in addressing weight gain problems. Posted on Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 at 12:03 pm

An article of CBS Pittsburgh on January 25 revealed that there has an increase in using hypnosis to improve children’s behavior, help them excel in academics, or help them perform better in sports.

According to reports there have mixed reactions regarding hypnosis use in children. In Pittsburgh, hypnosis is increasingly being used in children. Like in the case of Silvana Ferrer who does not want to use medications in treating her 10-year-old son with ADHD. Silvana reportedly sought the help of a skilled hypnotherapist to help her son cope up in school. After undergoing a hypnotherapy session, the boy noticed that he performed well in school. Though some doctors consider child hypnosis as a way beyond for parents to handle their kids, mental health experts said that such approach is worth considering if the goal is to treat serious trauma in children, bed-wetting, or any traumatic past experiences.

Hypnosis is actually proven safe and effective in improving children’s behavior and performances. If you want to know more about hypnotherapy and how it could help your child consult the Orlando Hypnosis Clinic. Schedule an appointment with us today by calling (407) 369-8474.

Posted on Monday, January 30th, 2017 at 11:19 pm

The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) considers hypnosis an alternative treatment and believes it is likely to be effective if performed by a person with proper training.

Aside from the competency of the hypnotherapist, ASCH, which is comprised of health professionals who consider hypnosis an alternative treatment, believe hypnotherapy is most effective if patients are eager to resolve their problems by also helping themselves. Though some patients may not find hypnotherapy effective, ASCH believes that many patients find it to be effective in solving their problems. When scouting for a professional hypnotherapist, ASCH advises making sure that practitioners are licensed, well-trained, and have the credentials needed to perform hypnotherapy.

Considering hypnotherapy to treat cigarette addiction

Posted on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 at 11:00 pm

Once smoking becomes a habit, many people find it extremely difficult to stop smoking for a variety of reasons. Be it for good health, to save money, or just wanting to avoid the smell of cigarette smoke, there are countless reasons for a person to quit smoking.

Hypnotherapy is one of the alternative methods used to help a person stop smoking. Unlike using nicotine patches or taking medications, smokers who are considering hypnotherapy are given suggestions to encourage them to stop smoking. The strategy of hypnotherapy is to establish all the bad effects of smoking. For example, the hypnotherapist may suggest to the patient what the lungs will look like when plagued by cancer caused by smoking. Individuals who consider this kind of therapy should understand they are 100 percent conscious during the session and they will not do anything against their will. While some medical literature claims not all smokers can be treated by hypnotherapy, there are hypnotherapists claiming 98 percent success rates helping people kick the habit.

If you are a smoker and want to change your life through hypnotherapy, consult the Orlando Hypnosis Clinic. Find out how our professional hypnotists may help you today by calling (407) 369-8474.

Children with burn injuries benefit from hypnotherapy sessions

Posted on Monday, December 12th, 2016 at 9:48 pm

A recent study in Australia revealed children may benefit from hypnotherapy if they are undergoing burn injury treatment, a December 9 article published by The University of Queensland reported.

Researcher Stephen Chester studied 62 burn patients at a children’s hospital whose ages ranged from 4 to 16. The aim of the research was to determine the effectiveness of hypnotherapy in reducing pain, stress, and anxiety in young burn injury patients. Chester found that 70 percent of the patients who underwent hypnotherapy experienced reduced pain levels after a hypnotherapy session and 67 percent of the group noticed they fared better in managing their stress and anxiety levels. Mr. Chester also noted that while adults are likely to benefit from hypnotherapy, children are more likely to be benefactors of the treatment because they are more responsive during therapy sessions. Young patients may find themselves relieved from stress and anxiety while undergoing treatment if hospital staff know how to perform hypnotherapy sessions.

Hypnotherapy is an alternative treatment for many health conditions and disorders. If you want to learn more about how you could benefit from the procedure, call the Orlando Hypnosis Clinic at (407) 369-8474 to learn more about your options.

Hypnotherapy used in Farmington to manage stress and pain

Posted on Monday, December 5th, 2016 at 9:53 pm

People in Farmington are considering undergoing hypnotherapy sessions as a means of managing stress and pain, an article of the Farmington Daily Times reported on November 26.

According to a Farmington-based hypnotherapist, people often misunderstand the alternative method of treatment because hypnosis is a relatively uncommon practice. During the whole course of a hypnosis session, patients are conscious of what is happening around them. The hypnotherapist said that during one type of session similar to praying and meditating, the patient becomes a “co-therapist.” It is also a false claim that people under such therapy act unusually and against their will. Aside from managing pain and stress, hypnotherapy is also used in changing bad habits, such as smoking, alcoholism, and drug addiction.

Hypnotherapy is becoming popular, according to the National Institute of Health studies. If you are considering this type of treatment, call the Orlando Hypnosis Clinic today at (407) 369-8474 to get in touch with highly professional hypnotherapists.

Ways hypnotherapy is used as a treatment

Posted on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016 at 1:54 pm

Hypnotherapy, or a kind of treatment that supports psychotherapy through managed mental activity in an effort to bring a person’s state of mind to a different level, can be used in two different ways depending on how it is intended to treat the person.

Hypnotherapy can be considered “suggestion therapy” if the person under hypnosis is capable of positively responding to suggestions given to them. Behaviors like nail biting or smoking could be changed by this kind of hypnosis. This type of hypnosis could be helpful for a person who is undergoing treatment to control too much pain. Hypnotherapy is considered an “analysis” in nature if the goal of the hypnosis is for a person to figure out for themselves the possible cause of a particular disorder by exploring the depths of their memory. This kind of approach is usually effective in treating traumatic experiences.

Individuals who are considering undergoing hypnotherapy should know that the procedure is 100% safe and will not result in brainwashing or cause a person to lose their mind. Hypnotherapy is often conducted by mental health professionals who were approved to do such practices. If you want to know more about hypnotherapy call the Orlando Hypnosis Clinic professional hypnotherapists today at (407) 369-8474.

Australians consider hypnotherapy in fighting substance abuse

Posted on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016 at 8:11 pm

A treatment facility in Melbourne, Australia is considering hypnotherapy as a viable option available for individuals addicted to illegal drugs like ice, or the most intense form of methamphetamine, an article of Herald Sun reported November 15.

According to reports, the Melbourne Centre of Healing is hoping that thousands of people nationwide could benefit from hypnotherapy, or the holistic approach in treating addiction. Experts, however, advised that the holistic approach should serve as only one option and include other traditional methods of treating substance addiction. Ryan Hassan of Centre of Healing noted that medicines cannot treat individuals who are hooked on controlled substances if they do not stop the reason that compels them to use drugs. Professor Dan Lubman, on the other hand, said the approach should not be an issue if a certain treatment is better than the others because some treatments could be effective for some individuals but not for others.

The expert hypnotherapist at the Orlando Hypnosis Clinic provides services for individuals who want to fight substance abuse without using medications. Learn more about our approach and how it could change your life for good by calling (407) 369-8474 today.
